Job summary

SHIMIZU-FUJITA-TAKENAKA-EEI JOINT VENTURE is seeking a skilled Rigger to move heavy materials on construction sites using rigging gear such as pulleys, cranes, and winches. You will assemble scaffolding and lift precast panels, ensuring safe, efficient operations on site.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of rigging experience, holds a Vocational Diploma/Short Course and an NCI Certificate, and is physically fit to work in demanding environments. Adherence to OHS procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy materials and equipment on worksites using rigging gear such as pulleys, cranes, and winches.
• Assemble temporary structures like scaffolding on construction sites.
• Move and assemble precast facades and panels on buildings under construction.
• Keep crane clean and greased; complete daily checks.
• Report damaged equipment to the manager immediately.
• Estimate load size/weight and select appropriate equipment.
• Erect cranes and adjust crawler crane heights.
• Lift, position, and bolt components for scaffolding.
• Attach sling equipment to loads and install/operate rigging.
• Follow Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Lift and erect precast panels made of steel, glass, or concrete.

Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Riggers move heavy materials and equipment around worksites using rigging gear such as pulleys, cranes, and winches. They assemble temporary structures like scaffolding on construction sites and move and assemble precast facades and panels on buildings under construction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep clean & neat the crane. Driving sheet area and more often greasing.
• Daily checking list should be filling up before work.
• If equipment had a damaged, you should report to manager immediately.
• May someday has no crane work, you should follow other work by management instruction
• Estimating the size and weight of objects to be moved and deciding on appropriate equipment to be used.
• Erecting cranes, mobile crane booms and adjusting the height of crawler cranes.
• Lifting, positioning and bolting components to build up scaffolding.
• Attaching sling equipment to load to be lifted.
• Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) procedures.
• Installing and operating cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and other lifting tackle.
• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Lifting and erecting prefabricated panels made of steel, glass, or concrete.
