Qualifications

• Proven experience as a butcher or chicken cutter in a retail or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and proper handling of butchery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut chicken and other meat products according to established company standards and customer specifications.
• Trim, portion and package meat products for retail display, ensuring proper labelling and pricing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the butchery counter, work surfaces and equipment.
• Arrange and merchandise meat products on display cases, ensuring attractive presentation and proper rotation of stock.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, removing and disposing of products that do not meet quality standards.
• Comply with all food safety regulations, sanitation requirements and company policies.
• Operate butchery equipment safely and maintain tools in proper working condition.
• Assist with inventory management and stock monitoring to minimise waste.
• Interact professionally with customers, answering questions about products and processing special orders.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to support retail operations during peak trading hours.
