Overview

A Retail Assistant in Footwear is responsible for providing customer service, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience in a footwear store.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service: greet customers warmly and assist with product selection to ensure a positive shopping experience; answer inquiries about products, sizes, brands, and promotions; provide expert advice on the proper fit, care, and maintenance of footwear; handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Sales and product knowledge: promote and sell footwear products based on customer preferences and needs; stay updated on current footwear trends, new arrivals, and sales promotions; meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to the store’s overall performance.
• Stock management: assist with receiving, organizing, and replenishing stock on the sales floor; ensure the store is well-stocked with popular and seasonal footwear items; perform stock checks and inventory counts when needed.
• Store presentation: ensure footwear displays are neat, organized, and visually appealing; maintain a clean and orderly store environment, including tidying shelves and organizing shoes; set up promotional displays or special offers to attract customers.
