Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Retail Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting in a fast-paced retail environment. The role manages sales, inventory, payables, receivables, and store operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Finance, a CPA is preferred, and at least 5 years in retail accounting with supervisory experience. Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably from the Retail industry.
• With managerial or supervisory experience.
• Experience handling retail accounting, inventory, sales reconciliation, or multi-store operations is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and general ledger activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounting transactions related to sales, inventory, purchases, and store operations.
• Monitor and reconcile sales and other retail-related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and accounting requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting.
• Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team.
