Job summary

Wave Bar & Restaurant Corp is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our finance team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. You will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate records, and contribute to financial reporting and closing processes.

The ideal candidate has an accounting/finance qualification or equivalent experience, proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work under pressure while collaborating well with the team.

Qualifications

• Qualification in accounting, finance, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Previous experience in accounting clerk or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of hospitality/restaurant industry accounting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and payment records.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Maintain detailed and organised accounting records and documentation.
• Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
• Collaborate with team to resolve accounting queries and issues.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
