Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform Arterial Blood Gas extraction and analysis.
• Perform Respiratory Therapy modalities.
• Administer Aerosol Therapy (Ultrasonic Nebulization/Jet Nebulizer).
• Conduct Chest Physiotherapy.
• Administer Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB).
• Assist with Incentive Spirometry.
• Provide Pursed Lip Breathing instruction.
• Instruct on Cough techniques.
• Determine Peak Expiratory Flow Rate.
• Monitor spontaneous breathing parameters.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Pulse Oximetry.
• Perform airway suctioning.
• Set up, administer and monitor Oxygen therapy; calibrate and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators; assess patient condition before,during, after procedures; observe infection control; prepare and check equipment, medicines and supplies.

• Document all incident reports accurately and timely.
• Record all borrowed department records properly in the logbook.
• Check that all pending procedures and request ordered through phone or computer is executed completely.
• Complete and correct patient profile; charging and posting of readers.
