About the role

The YAKAP ROD serves as the frontline physician for YAKAP beneficiaries, providing comprehensive outpatient consultations, preventive care, health risk assessments, appropriate diagnostic workups, medication management, and referrals when necessary. The position ensures timely, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with PhilHealth YAKAP requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical history-taking, physical examinations, and clinical assessments.
• Provide primary care consultations, routine check-ups, and preventive health services.
• Diagnose and manage acute, minor, and stable chronic conditions.
• Perform health risk assessments in accordance with YAKAP program guidelines.
• Request appropriate laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures covered under the YAKAP benefit package.
• Prescribe medications appropriately and in accordance with applicable clinical practice guidelines and the approved YAKAP/DOH formulary.
• Identify patients requiring specialist consultation, Emergency Room evaluation, or hospital admission and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in physical and electronic medical records.
• Ensure medical records contain the necessary information for PhilHealth YAKAP claim validation.
• Coordinate with OPD nurses, billing personnel, social workers, and other hospital departments to facilitate patient care and utilization of YAKAP benefits.

About you

• Licensed Physician in the Philippines.
• Preferably with experience in primary care, outpatient consultation, or community-based healthcare.
• Knowledge of PhilHealth programs, primary care, and preventive health services is an advantage.
• Good clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
• Willing to work on a full-time basis and provide consistent weekday coverage.
