Job summary

Treasure Island Industrial Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a chemist to develop and create new formulae and alternate formulations, optimize product formulas, and benchmark properties against market products.

You will conduct trial batches, assess cost, document test results, and ensure quality and compliance as new products are developed and validated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.
• 1-2 years of experience in the same industry/position or equivalent.
• Licensed Chemical Engineer or Chemist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and creates new and alternate product formulations for assigned products.
• Conducts trial batching of formulated products.
• Calculates cost of selected products, analyzes formula, and creates optimized formulations to improve product quality and cost efficiency.
• Conducts analysis of paint properties for assigned developments to verify test results.
• Creates batching procedures and work instructions prior to final formulation encoding.
• Implements corrective actions for issues related to product development.
• Conducts investigations on nonconforming products.
• Executes product testing, verification, and validation on newly developed products.
• Develops and carries out complex and simple testing programs as required by the organization and regulatory agencies.
• Prepares test reports of all developed and tested products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops / creates new and alternate product formulations for assigned products
• Conducts trial batching of formulated products
• Calculates cost of selected products, analyzes formula, and creates optimized formulations to improve and enhance product quality & cost efficiency
• Conducts analysis of paint properties for assigned developments to verify complete and accurate test results
• Creates batching procedures & work instructions of formulated product(s) prior to encoding of final formulation
• Implements corrective actions for issues/concerns raised related to product development
• Conducts investigation on nonconforming products
• Executes product testing, verification, and validation on newly developed products
• Develops and carries out complex and simple testing programs as required by the organization and other regulatory agencies
• Prepares test reports of all developed and tested products

About You

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/Material Science course
• At least 1-2 years' experience in the same industry/position or equivalent
• Preferably a Licensed Chemical Engineer/Chemist
