Job summary

Magna Prime Chemical Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional to support R&D and product development. You will evaluate new raw materials, assess product qualities, and revise existing formulations to stay competitive.

You will coordinate with sales and Marketing and prepare samples for customer evaluation. You will design manufacturing procedures, train production staff, and supervise initial production batches to ensure efficient processing and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in product formulation, raw material evaluation, product testing, and process development.
• 1–3 years of experience in R&D, product development, formulation, QA, or technical services.
• Preferably in coatings, paints, adhesives, construction chemicals, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new raw materials for product development and substitution.
• Evaluate qualities of existing and new products against competitors.
• Revise and improve qualities of existing products as needed.
• Conduct research and formulate new products coordinating with sales, marketing, and Technical Manager.
• Perform physical testing on liquid properties and film properties of developed products.
• Set standards and shelf life for new and existing products.
• Design manufacturing procedures for new products and train production personnel.
• Supervise first production batch of new products for training.
• Prepare samples for customer evaluation.
• Coordinate with sales/marketing on concerns about new projects and samples.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate new raw materials for product development and possible raw material substitution.
• Evaluate qualities of existing products and new products against competitor.
• Revise and improve qualities of existing product whenever necessary.
• Conduct research and formulate new products coordinating with sales and marketing team and Technical Manager.
• Perform physical testing on liquid properties and film properties of applied new developed product.
• Set standards for the new and existing products including the shelf life of the products.
• Design manufacturing procedure for the new developed product to train the production personnel on efficient processing.
• Supervises first production batch of new developed product to train the production personnel on efficient processing.
• Prepares samples of new developed product for customer's evaluation.
• Coordinates with sales and marketing team forany concerns with regards to new projects and samples submitted.
• Create and revise BOM, test procedures, and specifications whenever there are changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Registered Chemist)
• At least 1–3 years of experience in Research and Development (R&D), Product Development, Formulation, Quality Assurance, or Technical Services, preferably in the coatings, paints, adhesives, construction chemicals, or manufacturing industry.
• Experience in product formulation, raw material evaluation, product testing, and process development.
