Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Renewal Specialist to own end-to-end renewal cycles for our existing customer base. You will collaborate with CSMs, AEs, and Product to maximize recurring revenue, reduce churn, and uncover expansion opportunities.

You will forecast, negotiate, prepare quotes, and address procurement and legal questions. Strong communication and CRM proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Renewals Management, Account Management, Customer Success, or Inside Sales (preferably within the SaaS or tech industry)
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding retention quotas and performance metrics
• Strong commercial negotiation skills with experience dealing with procurement and executive-level decision-makers
• Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Gainsight/Totango (or equivalent Customer Success platforms) is highly desirable
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex contract terms simply
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and financial metrics (ARR, MRR, LTV, Churn)

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire renewal pipeline from initial forecasting to negotiation and contract execution
• Drive commercial discussions regarding pricing, contract terms, and renewals, aiming to maximize Net Retention Rate (NRR) and Gross Retention Rate (GRR)
• Prepare renewal proposals, quotes, and order forms, ensuring compliance with company legal and financial guidelines
• Partner with CSMs to proactively identify accounts at risk of non-renewal and develop strategic save plans
• Remind customers of the ROI and value they have achieved with our platform during the renewal cycle
• Confidently address procurement, legal, and budgetary objections raised by customer stakeholders
• Maintain a highly accurate, up-to-date renewal forecast within the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
• Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling during the renewal process and seamlessly hand them off to the growth/sales team
• Feed customer insights, reasons for churn, and product feedback back to the Product and Leadership teams to drive continuous improvement
