GrowthAssistant is hiring a UGC Video Editor to craft hook-driven, conversion-focused ad videos for paid social. You will edit raw footage into multiple ad variations with autonomy, applying direct response principles and building variations at speed.

You’ll work with AI creative tools and manage high-volume edits across multiple client brands, prioritizing QA and proactive communication in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years editing performance video ads for DTC brands or performance agencies.
• A portfolio with diverse paid ad work for DTC/ecom brands — not just branded content or organic posts.
• Deep fluency with hook structure, narrative arc, and CTA design in paid UGC creative.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and CapCut (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Edit UGC-style video ads for paid performance channels (Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
• Turn raw footage into multiple ad variations from light briefs or concepts.
• Apply direct response fundamentals: hook, narrative arc, CTA, pacing for retention.
• Scan raw footage, select clips, structure transitions, and add text overlays with minimal direction.
• Produce multiple ad variations from a single footage set for rapid testing.
• Utilize AI creative tools to accelerate production and expansion of variations.
• Perform pre-submission QA to catch typos, blank frames, and off-brief edits.
• Communicate blockers and delays in real time and provide daily updates.
• Iterate on creative based on ad performance data and feedback.
