Job summary

You will prepare and assess variations, perform quantity take-offs, and review drawings to ensure accurate pricing and documentation.

Ideal candidates have extensive structural steel experience and can coordinate with project teams to manage variations and cost impacts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Cost Planner in construction.
• Strong background in structural steel projects, including fabrication and installation.
• Experience preparing and assessing project variations.
• Ability to interpret structural steel drawings, specifications and scope documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess variations across multiple structural steel projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope changes.
• Complete quantity take-offs and measurements for structural steel works.
• Prepare variation pricing models and supporting documentation.
• Review design revisions and additional works to determine cost impacts.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Contract Administrators on variation submissions.
• Maintain accurate variation registers and project documentation.
• Provide regular updates and reports on variation progress.
• Support project teams with quantity and pricing information as required.
