My Online Staff is seeking a highly skilled Structural and Architectural Estimator to join our client’s team, focusing on Australian projects. You will prepare estimates, perform take-offs, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate budgets and timelines.

This remote role supports our non-toxic culture, offers an Australian morning shift, and works with a supportive team on high-value projects. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of Australian standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience as a Structural Estimator in Australia (essential).
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction practices, codes, and standards.
• Advanced Excel and cost modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for structural projects (commercial, residential, and civil).
• Conduct material quantity take-offs and labor cost calculations.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy of estimates.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, unit rates, and benchmark figures.
• Provide feasibility studies and budget estimates during early project phases.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for pricing and procurement.
• Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide regular updates and reporting to project managers and senior leadership.
• Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value-engineering solutions.
