Job summary

Two Connect is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer to produce accurate, fabrication-ready drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures while working from home. You will interpret architectural and structural drawings, detail components, and collaborate with senior team members to implement redlines and revisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in structural steel detailing.
• Competent in Tekla Structures or similar 3D steel detailing software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings accurately.
• Exposure to NZ/AU codes and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce fabrication-ready drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures based on markups and input from senior team members.
• Detail repetitive or standard steel components such as base plates, bracing, cleats, stair treads, and handrails.
• Work from architectural and structural drawings to complete detailing packages under supervision.
• Collaborate with senior detailers to incorporate feedback, redlines, RFIs, and revisions.
• Assist with drawing revisions and version control to maintain current documentation.
• Learn NZ/AU steel detailing standards and fabrication methods under guidance.
• Participate in team meetings to improve technical knowledge and quality outcomes.
• Maintain drawing files, model records, and project documentation.
• Support workshop efficiency and overall project delivery through reliable detailing output.
• Adhere to QHSE policies and procedures at all times.
