Job summary

Nango, a YC-backed developer infrastructure company, is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to own and scale our cloud platform end-to-end from compute to data. You will drive BYOC deployments, IaC and GitOps, delivering reliable scale for a growing customer base in a remote-first environment.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in platform roles, deep Kubernetes and AWS experience, and a strong background in security/compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in staff-level platform/infrastructure/SRE roles with production systems
• Deep production Kubernetes experience and opinions on when not to use it
• Experience operating software in BYOC, single-tenant, on-prem or air-gapped environments
• Deep AWS fluency; exposure to GCP/Azure a plus for diverse customers
• Terraform as native workflow with modular reusable code and multi-account topologies
• Databases expertise with Postgres, performance tuning, migrations under load
• Security/compliance exposure (SOC 2, ISO audits, pen tests) and incident responsiveness
• Product mindset and developer empathy; stack includes TypeScript and Node
• Strong remote-work communication and ownership in ambiguous startup contexts
• Based in North America, LATAM or Europe

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind our platform: compute, networking, data layer
• Lead BYOC deployments with provisioning, upgrades, and observability at scale
• Operationalize IaC and GitOps foundations to keep shipping fast
• Make reliability a product feature with meaningful SLOs and incident processes
• Lead data layer components (Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse) at growing scale
• Own infrastructure security/compliance reviews (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Shape the roadmap and company strategy with high ownership of key decisions
