Job summary

Domain is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join our Platform/Engineering team. You will collaborate with engineers, tech leads, and product managers to deliver scalable, secure solutions across Node.js, React, and Python stacks, with emphasis on AWS-based cloud services.

You’ll mentor juniors, contribute to system health and architectural improvements, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability while driving process improvements and fast delivery in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in at least one of Node.js/React/Python and comfort with the others.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, security, and authentication patterns.
• Relational databases experience with PostgreSQL, including migrations and optimization.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native patterns.
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture or similar design patterns.
• Proven ability to deliver features in Agile environments with Git, CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence.

• Build high-quality, scalable, reliable, and performant solutions with engineers and tech leads.
• Champion engineering best practices and improve system health and debt reduction.
• Drive engineering efficiency and collaborate with tech leads to improve processes.
• Mentor junior engineers in solution design and development.
• Develop understanding of product and business domain.
• Work with Product Managers to ensure solutions meet customer and business needs.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents.
• Continuously improve processes and software quality to reduce incidents.
