Lean Solutions Group (LSG) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly accounting close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed asset system management. Working closely with a remote U.S.

accounting team, this role requires managing a front-loaded monthly cadence—focusing heavily on month-end close during the first seven business days, followed by balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis for the remainder of the month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of general accounting experience, including month-end close responsibilities.
• Experience with Oracle, including the Fixed Asset module; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills for cross-border team coordination.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to meet strict close deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining availability during key close periods aligned with U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries in support of the monthly financial close process.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Manage the Oracle Fixed Asset system, including tracking asset additions, transfers, disposals, Work in Progress (WIP) assets, and processing monthly depreciation.
• Perform detailed account analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts prior to month-end close, identifying and escalating unusual variances.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Validate general ledger (GL) coding on corporate accounts payable invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Set up and maintain vendor/supplier records within the accounting system.
• Support transaction accounting overflow work, audit requests, ad hoc analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
