Job summary

Unified Accounting & Tax, LLP in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with hands-on inventory accounting experience. You will support daily operations, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong inventory reconciliation skills, cost accounting understanding, and solid general accounting knowledge. This is a permanent, full-time, remote position with PTO and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory accounting.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Experience developing financial reports and metrics.
• Willing to work following US hours.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accuracy between physical counts and accounting records.
• Monitor inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, adjustments, and stock movements.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile entries.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll to resolve discrepancies.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheet and P&L statements.
• Lead internal audit engagements and assist external audits.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect confidential data.
