Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance in a flexible work-from-home setup. You will work with the fractional CFO and CEO to oversee the monthly close, maintain audit-ready records, and develop analytical reports that support growth.

The role emphasizes hands-on bookkeeping, reconciliations, and opportunities to use AI tools to improve workflows within a small finance team.

Qualifications

1–3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff accounting experience including month-end close.
Strong QuickBooks Online expertise and advanced Excel skills.
Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries).
Excellent written and spoken English and ability to handle confidential information.
Interest in applying AI tools to accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online and generate reports for management/auditors.
Process payroll entries in QBO and manage vendor invoices in Ramp/QBO.
Record donations, grants, and contributions with proper receivables coding.
Prepare monthly bank/investment reconciliations and close processes.
Support grant tracking, budgeting, and nonprofit financial reporting.
