Job summary

Hire Overseas is seeking a Senior Accountant (AI-Native) to own the full accounting function for a premium food brand. You will drive the monthly close, manage the general ledger, and lead inventory reconciliation across locations and channels.

You will leverage Claude AI daily to build dashboards and automate workflows within a cloud finance stack (Xero, Airtable) and ensure US GAAP compliance. The role is fully remote, US-hours aligned, and offers growth as the business scales, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, including monthly close and financial statements.
• US GAAP experience, with focus on CPG or food/beverage preferred.
• CPG inventory reconciliation across multiple locations and channels required.
• Proficient in building dashboards and real-time visibility for management.
• Strong Claude AI proficiency and ability to validate AI output.
• Experience bringing accounting in-house from an external firm.

Responsibilities

• Own full accounting function end-to-end, including month/quarter/year closes.
• Manage AP/AR, reconciliations, journals, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany entries.
• Maintain reconciled balance sheet and timely income statement with variance analysis.
• Own revenue recognition under US GAAP for CPG/FMCG and audit readiness.
• Oversee deductions/chargebacks and cash reporting; drive optimization.
• Build live dashboards and AI-first workflows; manage cloud stack (Xero, Airtable).
