Job summary

Tiger Data is seeking a Senior Test Tooling Engineer to elevate release infrastructure and CI/CD workflows across TimescaleDB, Toolkit, Data Tiering, and Tiger Lake. In this remote-first role, you’ll automate operations and build robust testing and benchmarking systems to ensure world-class product quality at scale.

You will own the end-to-end release process, drive testing infrastructure, and collaborate with the platform team to deliver reliable releases while advancing benchmarking

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Release Engineer, QA Lead, or similar role with end-to-end release process ownership.
• Strong expertise in modern CI/CD practices and tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Excellent Python scripting for automation and tooling.
• Hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL deployments.

Responsibilities

• Drive and evolve CI/CD infrastructure for multiple products.
• Own the end-to-end release process, focusing on automation for seamless releases.
• Lead the packaging process and collaborate with the platform team for smooth workflows.
• Design and implement stress testing infrastructure and run stress tests with results feedback to engineers.
• Build and maintain comprehensive testing infrastructure to validate performance and cloud compatibility.
• Own benchmarking frameworks (including tsbench) and enhance them with advanced features.
