Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is hiring experienced engineers to build and optimize the Cloud database experience. You will work on designing features across the stack, ensure performance, and handle Postgres workloads at scale in a remote, global team.

The role emphasizes deep Postgres expertise, Golang, Linux, and Kubernetes, with a focus on operational excellence and observability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience running dynamic stateful Postgres workloads at scale on Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of Golang, Linux, and Apate.
• Contributions to the Postgres ecosystem or related tooling.
• Proven track record building internal systems for managing Postgres at scale.
• Experience analyzing database performance and tuning Postgres workloads.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing database-related Cloud features for a seamless Postgres experience.
• Ensuring operational excellence, performance, and observability for Postgres/Timescale instances.
• Dive deep into complex performance issues faced by Cloud customers.
