Job summary

ScalableOS in Makati City, Philippines, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise and data center network infrastructure. You will act as a senior technical escalation resource for complex incidents while ensuring high availability, security, and performance across networks.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network engineering, strong routing and switching skills, and hands-on Juniper EX/QFX and SRX experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise/datacenter/telecom/finance environments.
Strong expertise in routing and switching.
Hands-on experience with Juniper EX/QFX switches and SRX firewalls.
Strong understanding of BGP and large-scale datacenter networks.
Experience designing and supporting networks in large-scale datacenter/metro environments.
Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and secure architecture.
Experience supporting high-availability networks and incident management.
Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently.
JNCIP/JNCIE preferred; CCNP advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise and datacenter network infrastructure.
Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents and issues.
Configure and manage routing and switching infrastructure across production environments.
Deploy and maintain BGP sessions across WAN, public, and datacenter networks.
Configure and support Juniper EX/QFX switching and SRX security appliances.
Provision network services including servers, firewalls, GRE tunnels, and related connectivity.
Investigate and troubleshoot network incidents while minimizing customer impact.
Collaborate with internal teams, customers, providers, and partners to resolve connectivity issues.
Participate in network upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and expansion.
Support router, switch, uplink, and network resource upgrades.
Assist with deployment of new network locations and PoPs.
Follow change management processes and CAB activities.
Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Maintain network documentation and procedures.
Support incident management and communicate with affected clients.
Stay current with networking technologies and security practices.
Contribute to automation and network automation tooling.
