Job summary

SnappyCX is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support U.S. healthcare practices remotely. The role requires hands-on experience with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, denials, AR, and RCM, and a solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Work hours range 15-40 hours per week with time zone alignment to U.S.

Eastern, Central, or Pacific Time. Independent contractor arrangement; fully remote. Candidates should have at least 3 years of U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on U.S. medical billing and coding experience.
• Direct experience working within a U.S. healthcare practice, clinic, or healthcare organization.
• Experience with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Strong English communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day U.S. medical billing and coding activities.
• Submit accurate claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Review records to ensure accurate coding and submission.
• Manage denials, appeals, and AR follow-up.
• Perform payment posting and reconciliations.
• Work with EHR/EMR, payer portals, and clearinghouses.
• Maintain patient and insurance information; communicate with providers and payers.
