Job summary

Virtual Champs Global, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Coder & Biller to accurately read and interpret medical records, process U.S. healthcare claims, and review bills against provider estimates and final charges.

The ideal candidate has proven U.S. medical coding and billing experience, proficiency with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Graduation from a medical-related course is preferred; prior exposure to EHR/EMR and billing software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. medical coding, billing, and RCM.
• Ability to read and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
• Experience validating bills, provider estimates, and authorizations.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and handling confidential patient information.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Graduate of a medical-related course preferred.
• Experience with U.S. healthcare accounts or practice management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Request, review, and validate medical bills and records from providers.
• Read and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
• Review provider estimates against final bills.
• Identify discrepancies and coding errors.
• Assign and verify ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Prepare and submit claims to private insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage.
• Monitor and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Investigate denials and resubmit corrected claims.
• Post payments and adjustments in the billing system.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant billing documentation.
• Prepare reports on claim status, accounts receivable, and collections.
