Job summary

Onfleet is seeking a Remote Full-Stack Engineer based in Latin America or Canada to join cross-functional teams building orchestration capabilities across APIs, webhooks, and services.

The role emphasizes quality and end-to-end ownership, with backend in Node.js and Rust, frontend in React/TypeScript, and a strong testing framework using Playwright or Cypress. You will operate in an international, English-speaking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience shipping features across the full application stack.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with React experience.
• Experience with a statically typed language other than TypeScript (e.g., Rust, Go, Java, C#, or C++).
• Hands-on automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers (Playwright or Cypress).
• Hands-on CI ownership: GitHub Actions or equivalent.
• Experience with agentic workflows and end-to-end development orchestration.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and code-review discipline.
• Familiarity with cloud service design patterns and modern architecture.
• English fluency for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve your own development workflow and tooling.
• Drive quality through verification, reviews, and extended tooling.
• Work on greenfield and legacy code, managing challenges.
• Own and improve CI pipelines and quality gates.
• Elevate testing practices with design and automation guidance.
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable TypeScript/Node.js software.
• Take end-to-end ownership from requirements to production support.
• Refactor for clarity and long-term health of systems.
• Develop and refine APIs, webhooks, and integration surfaces.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum cadence.
