Job summary

WizeTalent is seeking a fully remote Senior Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping activities across various Australian clients. The role demands a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, in-depth knowledge of Australian bookkeeping practices, and strong proficiency with Xero.

You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payroll, and preparing BAS. The position offers a salary of PHP 90,000 – 110,000 per month, along with additional benefits including a work-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within an Australian public practice environment.
• Strong, hands‑on proficiency with Xero.
• Solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping principles, BAS, GST, and payroll compliance.
• Experience managing payroll for multiple employees.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to manage your own workload and work independently day-to-day.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage ledgers.
• Process payroll across a high volume of employees.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with tax preparation and support during audit processes.
• Stay current with Australian accounting standards.
