Hunt St Pty Ltd in the Philippines seeks a Senior Tax Accountant to support Australian clients remotely. You will prepare and review Australian tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance. The role is 80% hands-on tax work and 20% mentoring junior accountants, offering flexible scheduling to align with AU business hours and growth in client leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA licensed in the Philippines with Australian tax exposure.
• 1.5+ years Australian tax/business services experience.
• Proven ability to prepare personal, company and trust tax returns.
• Strong English communication and remote work capability.
• Ability to coach junior accountants remotely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Australian individual, company and trust tax returns.
• Prepare annual financial statements, tax calculations, workpapers and schedules.
• Prepare and review BAS and other Australian tax compliance work.
• Handle tax and accounting matters for SMEs, business owners, franchisees and high-net-worth individuals/families.
• Prepare SMSF financial statements and tax returns where required.
• Liaise with SMSF auditors and clients where applicable.
• Manage and progressively build your own portfolio of clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax, accounting and information.
• Manage deadlines, workflow and client follow-ups.
• Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide feedback.
• Coach and mentor three junior accountants.
• Support the Manager with technical queries and quality control.
