Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable.
• 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Experience managing general ledger functions and month-end closing.
• Excellent proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain AP systems, procedures, and policies.
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information.
• Coordinate with government agencies and external accountants to address information needs.
• Hire and train AP staff to ensure efficient departmental operation.
• Review and reconcile supplier statements, resolving discrepancies.
