Job summary

Uncover is seeking a Security Engineer II to provision, manage, and optimize company managed solutions, including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and firewall systems. You will stay current with evolving technologies and provide escalation and troubleshooting support to service teams and clients as needed.

You will maintain a hands-on role across security architectures, review configurations, coordinate with vendors, and drive reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer/engineering/cyber or information security; 4+ years IT experience.
• Experience with three or more of: firewalls, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, email security.
• Scripting with PowerShell or Python; familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF/CIS CSC).
• Vendor certifications in the technology stack or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage company managed security solutions on a day-to-day basis.
• Review and optimize security technology configurations to standards.
• Provide advanced technical support, remote help desk, and client consultations.
• Escalate and collaborate with vendors and teams as needed.
• Maintain documentation, participate in on-call rotation, and stay current with technology.
