Job summary

BigCommerce Pty is seeking a Salesforce Quality Engineer to join our GTM Business Applications team. You will own quality across Commerce's Salesforce platform, building automation frameworks, test strategies, and quality gates to enable rapid delivery.

You will design and maintain Apex unit tests, UI automation, and API tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and SFDX workflows. Strong communication and Salesforce experience are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of software quality engineering with Salesforce experience.
Automation-first mindset; strong test code skills.
Apex unit testing, governor limits, data isolation.
UI automation for Salesforce Lightning (Selenium/Playwright).
API testing with Postman or SoapUI; REST/SOAP.
Experience with Git/Salesforce DX and CI/CD workflows.
Clear communication and agile collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for Commerce's Salesforce org — Apex, UI, API, end-to-end tests.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD with GitHub Actions and SFDX deployment workflows.
Define and own test strategy across the SDLC, from acceptance criteria to execution.
Investigate defects, reproduce, isolate, categorize by impact, create MVP tests.
Identify coverage gaps across Apex, flows, integrations, and UI; close proactively.
Build data management strategies for reliable sandbox testing.
Collaborate with developers on code reviews with a quality lens.
Own and evolve the team's quality dashboard and metrics.
Participate in agile ceremonies and refine stories and acceptance criteria.
