Job summary

Cloudstaff in the Philippines is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions that improve software quality and release confidence. The role focuses on building and running automation with Playwright, TypeScript, and AI coding assistants, validating UI, API, and data behaviors in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 3+ years in automation testing.
Hands-on with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Practical experience using Cursor or similar AI coding assistants.
Strong SQL skills and API testing experience.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
Leverage Cursor AI to accelerate test development while maintaining quality.
Create UI, API, and end-to-end test coverage for critical flows.
Validate behavior via test cases, APIs, and data-driven tests.
Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines and inform release decisions.
Collaborate with product and development teams in Agile ceremonies.
