Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineer to design and build proxy infrastructure from the ground up. You will work on residential, mobile, datacenter and ISP proxy systems, focusing on IP rotation, session management, and intelligent routing to scale real-time data delivery.

You will own low-level networking, protocol implementations, and performance optimizations, ensuring reliability and efficiency at billions of requests. Fully remote role with international scope.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of TCP/UDP, sockets and routing at a low level.
• Excellent knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 protocols.
• Ability to write a reverse proxy from scratch, not just configure existing tools.
• Strong focus on latency, throughput and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Build proxy infrastructure from scratch and write core systems.
• Design rotation systems, IP rotation, session management and intelligent routing.
• Manage IP reputation and quality across pools.
• Build bandwidth reporting and metering with usage stats.
• Write high-performance reverse proxy systems.
• Handle IPv4 and IPv6 and various proxy types (Residential, Mobile, Datacenter, ISP).
• Implement geo-targeting and ensure proper protocol support (SOCKS5, HTTP, HTTPS).
• Optimize for performance and scale, monitor health checks and failover.
