Job summary

Fyfe Pty Ltd is recruiting a Pipeline Engineer to join the Philippines team and work remotely to support Australian coal seam gas and water infrastructure projects. The role focuses on design of buried HDPE/PE100 gas and water networks and requires GIS reading, spatial data interpretation and coordinating with drafting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pipeline, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
• 2-5 years' experience designing pipelines, piping or buried pressure networks carrying a fluid
• Registered Engineer with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)
• Familiar with GIS and able to read and interrogate spatial data
• Able to read hydraulic model output and identify where it disagrees with drafted alignment
• Comfortable working Australian core hours (approximately 6am to 3pm Manila time)
• Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High level communication, interpersonal and team management skills

Responsibilities

• Apply established engineering design rule set to new network designs
• Direct GIS and drafting team on routing, layout and attribution
• Escalate cases the rules do not cover to Brisbane technical lead
• Read and interrogate spatial data including attribute tables, domains, and topology
• Read hydraulic model output and identify where it disagrees with drafted alignment
