Halkin Global, a specialist firm partnering with Australian corporate law clients, seeks a Paralegal / Legal Assistant for a fully remote role based in the Philippines. You will support a busy legal team handling corporate and commercial matters, filings, and transactional work across jurisdictions using DocuSign and AI tools.

You will liaise with lawyers, directors, and external agencies, ensuring timely file management, deadlines, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years as paralegal or legal assistant in corporate/commercial work.
Strong knowledge of ASIC processes and share transactions.
Experience opening matters, managing files, and preparing bills.
Comfort with AI tools for drafting and administrative tasks.
Proficient with DocuSign and e-signing tasks.

Responsibilities

Matter administration: open matters, conflicts, track calendars and deadlines.
Billing: prepare bills, clean time entries, follow up on trust invoices.
Share transactions and ASIC: lodgements, registrations, share certificates and transfers.
Company secretarial: minutes, resolutions, notices, consents, records.
Signing and execution: manage DocuSign envelopes and signatures.
Transaction support: complete checklists and post-completion steps.
Correspondence: draft emails and client letters.
General support: searches, proofreading, formatting, basic research.
Liaison: communicate with clients, other law firms, accountants, and government agencies.
