Qualifications

• Experience as Virtual Medical Assistant or similar healthcare support role.
• Experience verifying insurance eligibility and benefits preferred.
• Familiarity with disability/ADA requests, FMLA forms, and medical records processing beneficial.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to work independently with a reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, benefits, and financial responsibility.
• Organize disability-related and ADA accommodation requests and route appropriately.
• Handle FMLA forms and supporting documents, upload to patient records, track deadlines.
• Receive and process medical records requests and patient authorizations.
• Provide patient and telephone support, document messages, and route urgent concerns.
• Create and update EHR encounters and ensure correct chart documentation.
• Perform general administrative tasks and follow established workflows.
