Job summary

DCX is seeking a Home-Based Production Scheduler to join a U.S.-based food manufacturing company. You will build and maintain the Master Production Schedule, create production orders, monitor inventory and demand, and coordinate with operations, warehouse, customer service, sales, and quality teams to keep production flowing and orders on time.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production planning or scheduling, strong English communication, and experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central,

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required; additional education in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, purchasing, or similar manufacturing roles.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) using Business Central and internal planning tools.
• Review and reassess unscheduled production requirements, especially stock replenishment.
• Schedule upcoming weeks based on inventory, demand, orders, capacity and priorities.
• Use Power BI MPS Dashboard to monitor inventory, needs, orders and shortages.
• Create and manage production orders in Business Central to meet orders or replenish stock.
• Set production dates to cover customer orders and maintain inventory levels.
• Manage stockouts risk by evaluating inventory, demand and capacity.
• Prioritize production respecting business needs and impact on orders.
• Schedule orders by production date, machine, and shift considering capacity.
• Update the shared Excel production schedule for visibility across departments.
• Adjust the schedule for last-minute changes and urgent requests.
• Reevaluate orders for moves or postponements to meet urgent needs.
