Job summary

New Era Technology, LLC. is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to drive migration from Cisco to Fortinet and Juniper across a global network. You will lead deployments, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage change controls in ServiceNow, supporting multi-site refresh projects.

Remote work with occasional on-site needs, EST hours, and a strong emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing. The role requires 7–10 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Strong experience with Juniper switching and wireless technologies.
• Good understanding of Cisco networking to support migration activities.
• Experience managing change controls in ServiceNow.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, wireless, and security.
• Experience working in large-scale, multi-site deployment environments.
• Ability to lead technical troubleshooting and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex deployment and migration issues.
• Troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, Juniper switches, wireless solutions, and Cisco environments during cutovers.
• Provide technical guidance and root cause analysis to implementation and field teams.
• Manage network-related change controls within ServiceNow.
• Create and review change requests to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
• Configure, deploy, and optimize Fortinet/FortiGate, Juniper devices, and wireless networks.
• Support migration activities including staging, validation, cutovers, and post-deployment tuning.
• Maintain network documentation, standards, and runbooks.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
