Job summary

RecruitNest Consulting seeks a Field Deployment Manager to lead deployment of connected building technology across commercial properties. You will manage projects from pre-install planning through go-live, coordinate installers and client teams, and provide technical guidance to resolve deployment issues.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering/IT/CS and 3+ years deploying physical tech in occupied buildings, with strong networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, IT, CS or related field.
• 3+ years deploying physical technology in occupied commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end deployment projects from pre-installation planning through go-live.
• Review plans to determine device and gateway placement.
• Coordinate third-party installers, contractors, client IT and facility teams.
• Confirm site prerequisites, track installation progress and milestones.
• Provide technical direction to contractors and resolve blockers.
• Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues (IP, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, firewalls, cabling).
• Coordinate with customer network admins to meet connectivity requirements.
• Verify device installation, connectivity, configuration, and data reporting.
• Maintain deployment records and project documentation.
• Escalate as needed to internal teams and customers.
• Ensure deployed devices report data to cloud or BMS systems.
