Job summary

VirtueStaff is seeking a practical and design-focused Interior Design Specialist to support executive design leadership in selecting and detailing furniture and FFE for senior living facilities and commercial environments.

You will help create concept boards, organize client design packages, and research approved trade vendors while handling light administrative tasks such as travel logistics and calendar coordination when design work is lighter.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in interior design teams, home staging, residential or multifamily environments.
• Ability to read 2D space plans and translate into detailed FFE specs and callouts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for organizing spec sheets, pricing schedules, and tracking logs.
• Willingness to learn digital design tools, concept board applications and project management software.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment aligned with project scope, budget, and design intent.
• Interpret space plans and assist design leadership with layout planning.
• Create visual concept boards and design presentations for client reviews.
• Research and source commercial furniture from approved vendors.
• Ensure FFE selections meet durability and accessibility standards for senior living facilities.
• Translate project briefs into actionable furniture recommendations with design leadership.
• Organize and catalog FFE specs, product data sheets, and project records.
