Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Experience working with US commercial insurance plans and Medicaid.
• Ability to use payer portals and communicate with insurers.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Professional verbal and written English communication.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits with commercial plans and Medicaid.
• Document verification results in AdvancedMD and clinic systems.
• Initiate and process prior authorization requests per payer/clinic requirements.
• Communicate with insurance representatives and track authorization status.
• Review patient information to determine nonprofit financial assistance eligibility.
• Assist with patient intake and enrollment documentation and ensure completeness.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR.
• Manage backlog and prioritize cases for timely resolution.
• Provide cross-functional administrative support and SOP updates.
