Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Medical Coder specialized in Inpatient DRG (IPDRG) to analyze physician documentation and assign MS-DRGs/APR DRGs for inpatient records. You will determine POA, SOI, ROM indicators and identify HACs/PSIs to support accurate hospital reimbursement.

You will collaborate with HIM and CDS teams, maintain coding CEUs, and stay updated on inpatient coding guidelines and regulations. This role offers a remote work setup with a day shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Inpatient DRG Coding experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Allied Health field.
• Active CCS/CIC or CDIP certification.
• Proficient in EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).
• Strong English communication (CEFR B2).
• HIPAA knowledge and coding ethics awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient health records to assign ICD codes, MS-DRG/APR DRGs, POA, SOI, ROM indicators.
• Identify HACs/PSIs and follow up with CDS or physicians for clarification.
• Work with ERP/EMR tools to support coding and documentation review.
• Ensure coding quality and productivity standards are met.
• Safeguard patient information under HIPAA.
