Job summary

Viventis Search Asia is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the accounting operations of a growing US-based hospitality business with three revenue streams: restaurant, events/catering, and retail. This remote role covers daily transaction recording, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in bookkeeping, familiarity with hospitality accounting, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close.
• Hospitality, food service, catering/events, or retail exposure preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and monthly close.
• Post and reconcile daily POS sales to GL.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment activity.
• Process high-volume accounts payable with accurate GL coding.
• Review vendor invoices, pricing, credits, returns, and receiving records.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and manage vendor payment schedules.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with contractor documentation and 1099 tracking.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and inventory adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including inventory and tax liabilities.
• Record inventory counts and cost of sales variances.
