Job summary

The Nudge Group is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to own and drive the Australian carrier-grade network from the Philippines. You’ll configure, test and deploy changes to routers, switches and firewalls, and write Ansible playbooks to move toward config-as-code.

This is a primarily remote, IC role with quarterly onsite work in Makati. Expect to collaborate with leadership, manage BNG/subscriber sessions, and deliver costed recommendations during maintenance windows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on telco/ISP network experience.
• Proficient with Ansible for network devices.
• Expertise in BGP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, VXLAN, EVPN.
• Ability to make recommendations to leadership.
• Based within 2-3 hours of Makati

Responsibilities

• Configuring, testing and deploying changes to routers, switches, BNGs and firewalls across a national network.
• Writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for provisioning, backup/restore and validation moving toward config as code.
• Owning BNG and subscriber management: subscriber termination, AAA/RADIUS, session handling and scaling.
• Finding the problems before partners do, and bringing costed, reasoned recommendations then building the ones that get approved.
• Working Australian business hours, with after-hours availability for maintenance windows and escalations.
