Job summary

Goodway Group is a remote-first media and marketing services firm seeking a Global Staff Accountant to support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial data analysis. You will work with the Controller and accounting team across the business to ensure accurate reporting, balance sheet integrity, and timely financial statements, leveraging NetSuite and Concur.

Qualifications

• At least four years of accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts (cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, credit cards).
• Able to work with complex data sets and investigate discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and ethics; self-starter who works independently.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close Support: prepare routine journal entries, support accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and expense allocations; reconcile balance sheet accounts; resolve reconciling items.
• Accounts Payable / Expense Support: review coding accuracy; reconcile AP accounts; review expense submissions; prepare monthly schedules; provide variance explanations; support audits.
• Process and Documentation: maintain SOPs; identify gaps; support data validation and system clean-up; create repeatable workflows.
• Payroll Accounting Support: assist with payroll accruals and reconciliations; collaborate with payroll team.
• Month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting needs across the business.
