Job summary

Ehvert Mission Critical seeks an experienced Fire Alarm & Fire Protection Design Engineer for long-term independent contracting work. You will design, model, and analyze fire protection systems for data center projects across the U.S., using Revit and CAD tools, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in NFPA/IBC/IFC codes, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in fire alarm and fire protection design.
• Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC standards; FM Global is a plus.
• Written and spoken English (B1+).

Responsibilities

• Model fire alarm and fire protection systems using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate with other disciplines across multiple projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, schematics, and design documentation.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire protection codes and standards (NFPA, IBC, IFC).
• Support site visits to assist construction progress as needed.
