Job summary

Remotify is seeking a strategic Financial Controller / Financial Reporting Specialist to lead monthly close, financial statements, and accounting compliance. You will oversee full-cycle accounting, FP&A, and regulatory reporting while ensuring robust internal controls and executive-level insights.

The role requires a CPA, 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in controller-level roles, and deep experience in US GAAP or IFRS, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel modeling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager role.
• CPA qualification strongly preferred.
• Advanced expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, or international accounting standards.
• Expert proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Excel modeling.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with strong leadership and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Analyze variances, budget vs. actuals, and key financial metrics to provide strategic insights to executive management.
• Manage tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and coordination with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.
• Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial forecasting.
• Supervise operational accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounting.
