Job summary

Fyfe is seeking a detail-driven Financial Accountant to join the Fyfe Finance team in a fully remote capacity. Based in Manila and employed through our partner agency in the Philippines, you'll support Australian engineering consultancy operations with accurate month-end close and financial reporting.

You will drive end-to-end close, maintain balance sheet integrity, and implement process improvements using Dynamics 365 BC, while ensuring compliance with AASB/IFRS and Australian tax requirements.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is mandatory.
• Experience with Australian organisations is required.
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience in financial accounting.
• Experience documenting SOPs and implementing efficiency gains.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB/IFRS) including AASB 15, AASB 16, AASB 119.
• Hands-on ERP experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end month-end close process including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for management and board.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with timely reconciliations and audit-ready workpapers.
• Drive process improvement and ERP enhancements, including SOP development and automation.
• Support BAS/GST, FBT, income tax provisions, internal controls, and audit queries.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, and broader business stakeholders.
