Job summary

KeepingCount, LLC. is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead accounting managers and staff remotely from the United States. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and excellent client experience while serving as a senior escalation point for complex matters.

You will guide teams across month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements, building scalable operations, and maintaining strong client relationships. CPA preferred; CPA experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience in public or outsourced accounting
• 3+ years leading managers or multi-person teams
• Extensive senior client-facing experience with communication
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field

Responsibilities

• Own the client experience across your portfolio, ensuring timely tasks and communication
• Lead and develop accounting managers and teams
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support audits and tax matters
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Track KPIs on timeliness, quality, and client satisfaction and report results to leadership
