Job summary

Hunt St is seeking an experienced Accountant based in the Philippines to join a boutique Australian client’s bookkeeping team on a contractor basis. You will prepare financial reports and tax returns for client companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws.

Qualifications

• CPA qualified (or equivalent) with knowledge of Australian tax law.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in Australian tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Solid experience with Xero.
• Familiar with the compliance requirements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders.
• Strong written English and clear communication skills.
• Self-directed and able to manage workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business financial reports and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Review individual tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with our bookkeepers to review BAS-prepared financials before proceeding to tax.
• Ensure all work meets Australian tax law and ATO requirements.
• Flag discrepancies or issues with the director in a timely manner.
